Sign up and copy your embed code

Create your BotDesk account and fill in your business details (services, hours, pricing, FAQs). BotDesk generates a single embed snippet tied to your account.

⚠️ Don't type this by hand — copy the full snippet from your BotDesk dashboard. It includes your real API key plus your bot's name, color, and business info.

Open Custom Code settings in Wix

In the Wix Editor, click Settings in the left sidebar, then choose Custom Code under the Advanced section.

Add the BotDesk snippet

Click + Add Custom Code, paste your BotDesk script, set "Add Code to Pages" to All pages, and choose Body - end for the placement.

Publish your site

Click Publish in the top-right corner. The BotDesk chat bubble now appears in the bottom-right corner across your whole site.

Wix Install Questions

Can I add a chatbot to Wix without an app from the Wix App Market?

Yes. Wix's built-in Custom Code feature (Settings > Custom Code) lets you paste any embed script, including BotDesk's, without installing an app.

Do I need a Wix premium plan to use custom code?

Custom Code under Settings is available on most Wix sites, including Premium plans. Some legacy free sites may have limited access.

Will the chatbot show up on every page of my Wix site?

Yes — set the code to load on "All pages" in the Custom Code settings and the BotDesk widget appears site-wide after you publish.

Can I remove or update the chatbot later?

Yes. Edit your business info anytime in the BotDesk dashboard, or remove the custom code snippet from Wix Settings to take it down.
