Sign up and copy your embed code

Create your BotDesk account and fill in your business details (services, hours, pricing, FAQs). BotDesk generates a single embed snippet tied to your account.

Open Code Injection settings

From your Squarespace dashboard, go to Settings > Advanced > Code Injection.

Paste the BotDesk snippet into the Footer field

Paste your BotDesk script tag into the Footer box (not Header), then click Save.

View your live site

Open your published site in a new tab. The BotDesk chat bubble appears in the bottom-right corner on every page.

Does Code Injection require a specific Squarespace plan?

Code Injection is available on Squarespace's paid website plans. Any paid plan (Business or Commerce) supports it.

Will BotDesk appear on every page automatically?

Yes. Code added to the site-wide Footer Code Injection field (Settings > Advanced > Code Injection) loads on every page of your site.

Can I test it before customers see it?

Yes. After saving Code Injection, open your live site in a new tab to see and test the chatbot exactly as visitors will.

What if I only want it on certain pages?

Squarespace's per-page Code Injection (in individual page settings) lets you add BotDesk to specific pages only, instead of site-wide.
